Customer dishwasher is leaking when running. This is an appliance issue. Customer was under the impression that we work on appliances. Waived trip charge for miscommunication.
Arrived at the customer’s residence; no one answered the door. A cleanout was located outside, so we began our diagnostic on the issue that continues to reoccur. Upon further investigation, we found a break in the sewer line near the curb, which has created a void. This void will continue to cause backups. We also noted root intrusion in the pipe. I informed the customer that the existing clay piping will continue to create problems and provided a quote for replacing it. The previous company that inspected the line had recommended installing a liner; however, this would reduce the interior diameter of the pipe and could lead to additional issues. Our recommendation is to excavate and trench the yard for either a full sewer line replacement or a targeted spot repair. We will replace the damaged line with plastic piping and elastomeric fittings. Gravel bedding will be installed to prevent settling, and we will ensure the proper slope (fall) throughout the installation.
Can’t work on acs in the cold. It’s bad for them to run in the cold and we can’t check anything.

Dispatched for furnace tune-up. The components that are tested during the tuneup are heat exchanger, flame sensor, igniter, blower wheel, inducer, temp split and combustion in the heat exchanger. When inspecting the heat exchanger it was showing signs of cracking in the rusted out areas of the seals. Also during the combustion analysis it was detecting air from the blower entering the chambers. This is indicated a crack that can potentially leak carbon monoxide into the living area. Also the blower is extremely dirty and would need a cleaning. Just having 1/8 of dust on the blower wheel fins increase the amp draw and reduce the amount of air across the heat exchanger. The system also need to have a gas shutoff and gas line repaired.
