Dispatched for annual AC tuneup. At arrival system is operating. During the tuneup, I checked compressor, fan and capacitor. Also, during the inspection we checked pressures, and temperature split. All components of the AC are all operating with manufacturer specs. The static pressure of the system is 2.5 times the recommend pressure. I highly recommend at least increasing the return to allow the system the inhale better. Went for a tune up. Did replace 1 filter for customer. Temp split for system is failing. Refrigerant levels were not with manufacture specifications. Did find the txv on system is bad. Causing for coil to leak. All electrical components are passing for system. Evaporator coil does have a lot of rust and recommend a cleaning and to replace txv.

Reclaimed system refrigerant, found there was a leak in system. Repaired leak, vacuumed and recharged. Once charged with factory amount ran unit for 10 minutes per manufacturer charging instructions, adjusted TXV in handler per manufacturer specifications, then added refrigerant until desired subcool. Tested system in cooling and heat pump mode and pressures were within manufacturer specifications.

Went for an air handler inspection today. Did a static pressure test, it passed. Heat kit amperage passed. Contactor passed. Temperature split between the supply and return duct passed. Blower motor amperage passed and blower wheel is clean. Filter got replaced. Thank you for choosing LBA services!
