When I arrived they were both out locked out of service on internal safeties. The filters were removed and they were packed. The furnaces were restarted and observed. They both finished their ignition sequence and the burners lit. The amp draws on the motors were checked then the temperatures on the return and supply sides. The return temperature was elevated at 81deg. This elevated return temp plus the clogged filters would cause the symptoms seen today. The truck bay thermostats for the unit heaters were set back to the setpoints that someone had marked at (55deg). This will cool the return air to keep the furnaces from overheating. In addition to this I spoke with Shane and he advised leaving the filters out until Monday when he will change them. At this time the furna
Went for a tune up call today for heat. Tested for static pressure system is at max when in heat. All electrical components are passing for manufacture specifications. Did a combustion test is within range. Inspected heat exchanger no cracks/leaks were detected. Checked temp split and is passing for specifications. Cleaned flame sensor and pressure switch hose. Did notice blower wheel dust have a lot of dust built up, recommend a cleaning. As well water panel for humidifier needs to be replaced. Arrived to do a performance maintenance. Set up for combustion analysis temperature split and static pressure tests. Found that the system is operating with excessive static pressure, but is operating well within specifications on the systems temperature rise. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the furnace. Checked blower for cleanliness and to see if there is any play in the bearings. Found that the fan is starting to collect dust. Checked systems heat exchanger to ensure proper venting of flue gas. Verified operation of the humidifier. Humidifiers solenoid valve is not allowing water to flow. Furnace is operational at this time. Will reach out in the new year to schedule humidifier replacement.

Arrived to remedy an inoperable humidifier. Upon inspection of the humidifier, found that the solenoid valve was not receiving signal when the system was running the fan. Performed diagnostic and found that the control board is not relaying the signal to power the humidistat at the proper time. Rectified this wiring error and tested system operations. Humidifier is functioning properly at this time. Spoke with homeowner about the feed line to the humidifier. Saddle valves are known for leaking and for getting clogged. Recommended replacing the saddle valve with a ball valve. With homeowners approval installed the new ball valve and made sure that there are no leaks. System is functioning properly at this time.
