I was called to a home in the suburbs to repair an Amana AC system. The customer complained that the condensate drain was clogged and water was leaking from the unit. I arrived at the house and inspected the AC unit. I found that the condensate drain was clogged with debris and the float switch was not working properly. I removed the debris from the drain and cleaned the float switch. I also checked the condensate pump and found that it was working properly. I tested the AC unit and found that it was cooling the house effectively. I also provided the customer with tips on how to prevent future clogged drains and how to maintain the AC unit.
